What has been an already trying season for the Los Angeles Kings just got a little bit worse, as it was reported early Saturday that center Jarret Stoll had been arrested in Las Vegas for possession of cocaine, according to CBS News Las Vegas.

"Metro Police confirms to 8 News NOW that Los Angeles Kings center Jarret Stoll was arrested Friday at the MGM Wet Republic pool for possession of cocaine."

CBS News Los Angeles reports that Stoll was also in possession of MDMA, commonly known as "Molly" or ecstasy.

Stoll, the long-time boyfriend of ESPN anchor Erin Andrews, reportedly posted $5,000 bond and has been released from custody.

The 32-year-old Stoll just completed his 12th NHL season and his seventh with the Kings. He aided Los Angeles in Stanley Cup victories in the 2012 and 2014 seasons.

He is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

The Kings, who missed the playoffs and have already had to deal with one public relations nightmare this season with defenseman Slava Voynov's domestic violence arrest, released the following statement on their website regarding the reported incident:

"We are aware of police reports out of Clark County, Nevada regarding Jarret Stoll. Our organization is concerned and has begun conducting a thorough internal investigation. While we continue to actively gather facts, we are withholding further comment at this time."
