Rickie Fowler's second victory of the 2014-2015 PGA Tour season was achieved in dramatic fashion yet again. After the biggest win of his career at the Players Championship back in May, Fowler was victorious at the Deutsche Bank Championship this weekend.

The 26-year-old defeated Henrik Stenson in the final round on Monday and earned $1.5 million and 2000 FedEx Cup points. Fowler finished 15-under par for the tournament at TPC Boston and stayed consistent throughout with 67s in the first three rounds and a 68 earlier today to finish off the win.

Stenson had a one-stroke lead heading into Monday's final round, but a big mistake on the par-3 16th led to his undoing. His tee shot fell short of the green and bounced into the water, which led to a double bogey and gave Fowler a one-stroke lead. Fowler held on with pars on 17 and 18 to capture the victory.

"I was put in positions [throughout the tournament] where I wasn't maybe swinging the best and was able to get the most out of my round that day and I really hung in there today as well," he told Golf Digest. "It's pretty special to fight it out the way I did."

Fowler used another late rally and a clutch putter to achieve his third career win. The No. 9 golfer in the world recorded his first FedEx Cup playoff win as well on Monday, which helped him move into third place in the FedEx Cup standings behind Jason Day (first) and Jordan Spieth (second).

Earlier this season a poll of PGA Tour pros voted Fowler and Ian Poulter the most overrated golfers. Since the results of that poll were made public, Fowler has won two PGA Tour events to silence his critics.

And after his win on Monday he bought champagne for members of the media to celebrate.

The final event of the season, the Tour Championship, will take place later this week at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, GA. The race for the FedEx Cup title will come down to the wire.
