Pro wrestler Seth Rollins' girlfriend Zahra Schreiber was fired from the WWE after her Nazi-themed Instagram photos resurfaced online, TMZ reported. Schreiber previously worked as a female wrestler with the WWE's developmental branch, NXT.

"WWE released Zahra Schreiber due to inappropriate and offensive remarks she made that were recently brought to our attention," the WWE said in a statement obtained by the Wrap.

The photos in question were posted in 2012, before she joined the WWE's NXT roster, the Wrap reported. One photo showed the image of a swastika and another photo featured a "My Little Pony" character wearing a swastika armband similar to the ones Nazi soldiers wore, and sporting Hitler's iconic mustache.

"I like history ha," Schreiber wrote in an Instagram comment defending her post, according to E! News. "The swastika means prosperity and luck. It was around way before Hitler turned it into an icon."

The photos were deleted but have since resurfaced online. Schreiber and Rollins have yet to comment on the matter, but this isn't the first time the two have been involved in a social media scandal.

After suspecting that there was something romantic going on between Rollins and Schreiber, Rollins' ex-fiancé Leighla Schultz posted nude photos of the two to Instagram and Twitter, according to E! News. Rollins issued an apology to fans after the nude photos were leaked.
