San Francisco 49er Mike Davis learned an expensive lesson in his first NFL training camp this year, His teammates have a healthy appetite, to the tune of a recent dinner bill totaling $1,878.59, and as part of the rookie running back's initiation and hazing, he was handed the bill to pay, according to The Examiner.

Davis took to Twitter after he paid the bill, sending a picture of the totaled bill with the simple line: "Welcome to the NFL, Rookie," according to the Inquisitr. He got off easy though in comparison to his predecessors. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger once handed a $25,000 nightclub bill to a rookie under the pretense of "initiation."

Davis was the fourth-round pick out of South Carolina and is scheduled to make $435,000 (and received a $468,781 signing bonus) this season, so he can definitely afford it, according to The Bleacher Report.

Davis is a good pick up for the 49ers, where he combined for over 2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns on the ground his final two seasons at South Carolina. The 49ers also signed Blake Bell and DeAndre Smelter in the off-season.

The 22-year-old Davis is from Lithonia, Ga. and played college ball at South Carolina.
