The world's largest cruise ship, Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas, will be equipped with a massive water park when it sets sail May 2016. The new 5,497-passenger Harmony of the Seas will possesses three multi-deck waterslides which will be a first of its kind for the cruise line, according to Royal Caribbean International.


Registered at a gross 227,000 tons, Harmony of the Seas will have 2,747 cabins and span 16 decks, and similar to Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, Harmony will offer seven locations such as Central Park, Boardwalk and the Royal Promenade as well as a spa and fitness center. 

The water park, called Splashaway Bay, will feature a slide with a 10-story plunge, reported USA Today. The slide, titled the Ultimate Abyss, will begin in the pool and sports zone and continue to the boardwalk neighborhood below.

In addition to the massive slide, the park will also cater to younger crowds by including sea creature water cannons, winding slides, a gigantic drench bucked and a multiplatform jungle gym, the cruise line said, according to the Sun Sentinel.

Harmony goes beyond simply having an amazing water park, as Royal Caribbean noted it will be a technological marvel as as well, including a bar with dancing robot bartenders, virtual balconies in many interior staterooms with sea and port views and high-speed Internet.
