Helen Abdulla, known as Helly Luv, an Iraqi pop music star who is considered the "Kurdish Shakira" is fighting against ISIS with her music.

She released a music video for her song "Revolution" last month which is her "call for Kurdistan and the countries of the world to unite to fight terrorism and injustice," The National reported.

In an interview with Melissa Francis on FOX Business Network's "After The Bell", Helly Luv said that she was inspired by the thousands of Kurdish peshmerga fighters who are bravely battling the terror group.

When asked about how she feels about doing the music video where she front lines the battle against ISIS in Iraq, the twenty-six-year old artist confidently said that she wasn't afraid. "I think what I am doing is more important," Helly explained during the interview. "I feel that if I can get my voice to millions of other people, [for] those people whose voices have been shut down, I think it's worth it."

Despite the death threats she received, Helly remained strong saying that "there's no reason to be afraid."

"It means that the message of 'Revolution' is as powerful as their weapons ... My weapon is my music," she added.

She also pleaded for help from President Barack Obama saying that Iraq needs more weapons. "If we can give the Peshmerga the weapons, they can destroy the enemy. Even right now, they don't have strong weapons, but they're still winning," Helly said.
