Utah boy Matthew Flores was found in an apartment complex in a suburb in Salt Lake City looking for junk mail on Friday then his mailman did something breathtaking for him. Rob Lynch, who works for the Sandy Post Office, was just delivering mail when he saw the boy digging for letters in a junk mail bin. When asked, the boy said he was searching for something to read.

When asked why, Flores said reading is interesting. "Plus, it gets you smarter," the boy added. The 12-year-old boy then asked the mailman if he had any extra junk mail to read. When Lynch began chatting with the boy he found out that Flores doesn't own his own books and his family can't afford bus fares so he can go to the library. Lynch, a self-proclaimed book lover, started reading at an early age and was blessed to have enough access to books. Touched by the boy's dedication to learning, the postman decided to do something amazing for him, KSL reported

He decided to reach to the world and ask for help. He posted a photo of the boy and his address on Facebook and asked his friends to send the boy books. "He's counting on me, so I'm counting on you!" his post said. The post went viral and has reached people as far as U.K., Australia and India who already sent books, according to Huffington Post.

People in the area have begun giving books to Flores in his own home, as well. "They said these books are for you, and I thought they were mistaken," the boy told WABC. "I don't even know. I'm just super happy," he added, People reported.

Flores wants to share his huge book collection with other kids too.
