Meghan Trainor, the singer behind last year's hit "All About That Bass," was forced to cancel the first two shows of her upcoming headlining tour, reported Billboard. The singer is on vocal rest for the foreseeable future.

Trainor, 21, was diagnosed with a hemorrhage on her vocal chords, an injury that is common among singers, according to Billboard. She said doctors ordered her to be on complete vocal rest, and posted an update to her Instagram page alerting fans.

"I'm so sorry Megatronz please forgive me. I will never speak and completely heal as soon as possible so I can show you how hard we've been working on this #MTRAINTOUR," the singer wrote in the caption.

Her fans, known as Megatronz, are fully supporting her with encouraging words in tweets and comments that wish her well.

Trainor's MTrain Tour was scheduled to kick off Friday at the Borgata in Atlantic City, N.J., but the show has been postponed along with the July 4 date at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., according to USA Today. Her tour mostly consists of stops at state fairs across the United States and runs through September, according to E! News.

The Grammy-nominated artist holds the sixth most popular album of 2015 with her debut, "Title."
