Deen Castrovno, the drummer for Journey, has been charged with rape, sexual abuse, coercion and unlawful use of a weapon in a domestic violence case involving his wife earlier this month in Salem, Ore., according to TMZ.

Police originally arrested Castronovo on June 14, according to the Statesman Journal. He was charged with only fourth-degree assault and menacing and released on $20,000 bail after his arraignment on June 15.

The extra charges were added on Tuesday and faces a plea hearing on Tuesday afternoon. He's currently being held without bail in Marion County, Ore.

Marion County Deputy District Attorney Jean Kunkle wrote in court papers, obtained by The Associated Press, that the 50-year-old rocker "knowingly caused physical injury to a woman." He was ordered not to have any contact with the woman.

In 2012, police arrested the Keizer, Ore. resident when a neighbor reported a man and woman fighting across the street, according to the Statesman Journal. The woman was Castronovo's ex-girlfirend and he was charged with reckless endangerment, interfering with making a police report, second-degree criminal mischief and harassment.

Castronovo replaced Steve Smith in 1998 as the drummer of Journey. The band announced on its Facebook that Omar Hakim will play drums for the rest of the U.S. concerts and the Canadian tour while Castronovo resolves his legal issues.
