Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol Palin announced in a blog post Thursday that she was pregnant with her second child, and her ex-fiance Dakota Meyer has broken his silence.

The revelation was pretty unexpected to most, especially Meyer, who took to his personal Facebook page on Friday to publicly speak for the first time since Palin made the announcement, according to People. In the post, he touched on the fact that the media overshadows news stories about terrorism.

"Within the past 24 hours there have been three terrorist style attacks across the world," the 27-year-old former U.S. Marine wrote, explaining the three attacks and letting the world know that there is more important news going on than what the media chooses to "spoon feed" us.

"All ISIS/ISIL attacks and all overshadowed by the dog and pony show being put on here domestically by some politicians and mass media," he continued to write. "The news that feeds the 'inquiring mind want to know' is inconsequential compared to that which is truly relevant but lost on the back page. I urge you to go beyond what is spoon fed to you and see what is truly going on out there."

Along with the post was a photo of himself sitting on his couch while wearing a robe, smoking a pipe, holding a sword and reading a Marine handbook. "Still waiting..." is written across the bottom of the photo.

Meyer and Palin were supposed to get married on May 23, and the pregnancy announcement comes just weeks after the 24-year-old former "Dancing With The Stars" contestant called the wedding off. Palin chose to post a photo to her Instagram following Meyer's Facebook post on Friday.

"Update: this is still how much I care about anything negative..#prolife God is good, happy Friday!!" the caption read.

Palin already has a son, Tripp, with her ex-fiance Levi Johnston. She has not yet announced who the father of her second child is. She has only said that she wants people to respect her and her son's privacy.
