Walt Disney World has had enough of the selfie stick and will permanently ban them starting Tuesday, June 30.

The new policy will keep poles from making it past the security line bag check at any Disney World theme park, including Disney World water parks and DisneyQuest, according to the Chicago Tribune. The ban also includes Disney parks in Hong Kong and Paris.

Guests will be checked for the equipment during the routine bag check that takes place near the parks' entrances. They will be able to choose between turning in their selfie-sticks for pick-up later and putting them back in their cars or hotel rooms, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

"We strive to provide a great experience for the entire family, and unfortunately selfie-sticks have become a growing safety concern for both our guests and cast," Disney World spokeswoman Kim Prunty said.

The issue has been growing at Disney, as the sticks were previously prohibited from select rides, such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom, and "no selfie-sticks" signs were added in some cases. Cast members have given verbal warnings to rule breakers.

Other items banned at Disney World include skateboards, inline skates, wagon, folding chairs and glass containers, according to the park's official website. The site also lists "other items that we determine may be harmful or disruptive."
