That was unexpected! Just one day after newlyweds Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson announced that they were expecting their first child together, Griner filed papers seeking to annul her 29-day marriage to Johnson, claiming her marriage was based on a "fraud and duress."

Griner placed "void based on fraud" as reasoning for the annulment in documents obtained by TMZ, adding that she was "pressured into marriage under duress by Johnson's threatening statements."

Griner also claimed that she did not know about Johnson's pregnancy.

"Last Wednesday, Glory and I agreed to either legally separate, get divorced, or annul our marriage," she said in a statement. "In the week prior to the wedding, I attempted to postpone the wedding several times until I completed counseling, but I still went through with it. I now realize that was a mistake."

Griner's statement suggests Johnson was fully aware of the annulment. Unfortunately, Johnson told TMZ that she was "blindsided" by the news but "still loves and cares for Brittney."

"Glory loves Brittney and made a huge sacrifice to carry a child, put her career on hold, to invest in their relationship and their future. As a result she won't be playing this season," her rep continued in the statement to TMZ. "Glory wouldn't intentionally do anything to hurt Brittney and has tried her best to protect her and their marriage. Obviously this marriage was about them starting their life together. Glory is the sweetest thing in the world and she was dedicated to their partnership. She knows how important marriage is and made a lifetime's commitment and decision to spend the rest of her life with Brittney."

Johnson and Griner were married on May 8 on an Arizona mountaintop; However, three weeks prior to their wedding, they were arrested on domestic violence charges. The Tulsa Shock and Phoenix Mercury players appeared on a January episode of "Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta."

The news of the annulment comes a day after Johnson announced she was pregnant with the couple's first child, posting a photo of "bun in the oven" cake on Instagram, with the caption, "#SUCCESS #BLESSED#WelcomeToTheJohnsonGrinerFamily."
