"King of the Blues" B.B. King died in Las Vegas at the age of 89, according to the New York Daily News and the Washington Post. King's attorney made the announcement.

An official confirmation has not been made on King's website. The last "Message from B.B." was on May 1: "I am in home hospice care at my residence in Las Vegas. Thanks to all for your well wishes and prayers."
