Erick Scott, who served in the army national guard for 16 years, is saved every day by his special service dog Gumbo.

Gumbo is trained to quickly pick up on Scott's behavior so he can calm his human down when his post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) starts making him anxious.

While Scott was recently doing an interview with USA Today, he was starting to feel a little anxious when he spoke about getting diagnosed with the disorder for the first time.

But with Gumbo in his life Scott doesn't stay anxious for long because the pup senses his change in mood almost before he does!
