Morgan Spurlock To Direct One Direction 3D Concert Movie

One Direction is in the midst of shooting for their 3D movie concert documentary and the expected release date for the movie is 30 August, 2013.

The One Direction boys seemed happy about having their life behind the scenes captured in camera and show it to the world. Morgan Spurlock is chosen as the director for the movie and the boys are quite confident about the "Super Size Me," director to be the perfect man to shoot the movie for them considering his tremendous work in the past.

"Morgan works well because like you said, he did a lot of documentary movies," Niall Horan told MTV News. "That's more so what we want our movie to be. It's going to be a concert movie, but with a documentary side than concert side so we wanted to give it like get our personalities across because the fans know us, but we want them to know us deeper."

Liam Payne excited to work with Spurlock with his new ideas, he said in a report from MTV News: "I think he's come up with a lot of interesting concepts and stuff for films, so it's just going to be really exciting to work with him and see what he comes out of the bag with for us."

The Boy Band seems to be taking keen interest and have been filming moments to give the movie a heads-up.

"Well we've been kind of [filming], we've always had a camera with us," Horan told MTV News. "Like when we were touring America in the summer, we had like a camera with us every day and we were just kind of documenting stuff cause if it ever did come to a movie, then we'd have stuff ready for it."

"So we've already kind of started and the cameras are already coming out on the road with us a bit more now. Obviously doing [Madison Square Garden] next week and then the tour all year next year, hopefully it'll turn out as well as we want it too," Horan said.

Simon Cowell, the band's mentor, will be the producing the movie along with Ben Winston, who directed "A Year In the Making," back in 2011 for the band.

"Morgan Spurlock's directing. He's cool, I met him. I think it's going to be amazing," said Cowell earlier this month with MTV News. "He was just such fan of doing it. What he gets is storytelling and he likes detail and he's fun and the band likes him. I think he's going to make an interesting movie.

"Well, I mean, for anyone who's a fan of the band, you're gonna get a chance to really see what it's like preparing for one of these big concert tours, a lot of it is about the fans," he said.
