In today's Hollywood landscape, comic book films dominate the market and leave fans wanting more. More action, more big names, more, more, more. That's why when Zack Snyder recently released the first image of Jason Momoa as Aquaman, everyone wondered what the King of Atlantis' role in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" would be.

Well, it appears as if Snyder is going with the less is more approach with that one.

The "seven" referred to in the picture is generally assumed to be the members of the DC Cinematic Universe's Justice League (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and possibly Cyborg) - although some think it could mean the seven seas. In either case, uniting them is certainly an enormous undertaking. Unfortunately, that task may not be fully represented in this film.

"The outlet reports that [POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT]Momoa will only have two short scenes in the film," Tyler McCarthy of International Business Times wrote. "The first will be in a survey of metahumans done by Lex Luthor (Jessie Eisenberg). Following that, his only other scene will be when Batman recruits him for the Justice League. If true, it seems like Snyder is hoping to use Aquaman to bring heroes like Flash and Green Lantern into the fold when the next movie hits theaters."

Aquaman may not be the scene stealer some fans want in this movie, but his limited role does sound significant. He could prove to be a integral part of the film franchise going forward despite a lack of screen time in his first appearance.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is scheduled for release on March 25, 2016.
