Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Release Date Rumors: Phablet will Have 5.7 Inch Screen; Announcement Right Before IFA

Reports said Friday the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will debut with a 5.7-inch screen, according to TechRadar.com. As TechRadar puts it, the reports also said the phone will be announced “on the eve” of the IFA conference in Berlin.

This report is very similar to other reports about the phablet’s release as the IFA conference is two months away. The Korea Herald said the phone will arrive on Sept. 4 during a Samsung Unpacked event in the capital of Germany. The Herald’s report coincides with other predictions that the phone will be announced during the Samsung event.

Within all the various reports and predictions surrounding the phone, there seems to a consensus that Samsung will have its third phablet carry a wider screen. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has a 5.5 inch screen. The Note three is supposed to get an upgrade with a 5.7 inch screen. Other reports have suggested a screen just short of six inches at 5.99.

One of the hints Samsung will most likely announce the phone during (or just before) the IFA conference is because they’ve done the exact same thing the last two years. The IFA conferences in 2011 and 2012 both saw the announcements of the Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Galaxy Note II respectively.

The Friday report also said the phone will be equipped with 4G LTE Advanced capabilities. This is very believable since Samsung—a South Korea-based company—has already created the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE Advanced. This is the only phone able to work on the advanced LTE network. It is also only available in South Korea, the home of the only LTE Advanced network. 4G LTE Advanced is double the speed of LTE in the United States.
