The Food Channel responded to Paula Deen's racist slur by firing her and now retail giant Wal-Mart has also dropped their business relationship with the celebrity chef the Associated Press reported.

The world's largest retailer said it will not place "any new orders beyond what's already committed." The discounter says it will work with suppliers on existing inventories.

Wal-Mart announced its dumping the 66-year-old maven of Southern comfort food's products once existing orders are filled in the wake of Deen's admission in a deposition that she's used the N-word,

Wal-Mart's decision comes on the heels of Caesars Entertainment announcement that it will remove Deen's name from four of its buffet restaurant - and days after Smithfield pork products cut her as a celebrity endorser.

Paula Deen admitted to the racist behavior as part of a $1.2 million lawsuit brought by Lisa Jackson, the former manager of a restaurant run by Deen and her brother Bubba Hiers. She is also accused to having a slave-themed wedding for her brother.

Deen appeared on "Today" this morning, offering a tearful apology -- saying, "If there's anyone out there that has never said something that they wish they could take back ... please pick up that stone and throw it so hard at my head that it kills me."

Deen took the first step in attempting to repair her damaged image Wednesday with an interview on the "Today" show.

"I have never in my life intentionally said anything hurtful or unkind," Deen told Lauer , adding a warning "not to underestimate the power" of fans and supporters.
