Mobile payment services have been a slowly rising industry in the market. Square Inc. created their market-changing app in 2008, and companies have been trying to add mobile options for years.

The latest version of this is Apple Pay, a wireless service that allows users to store digital copies of their credit cards in their device and pay at the register with just their iPhone. Apple limited Apple Pay to the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch.

While Apple Pay is only available in the US, recent reports seem to point to an international release in the near future.

9to5Mac reports that partners in Canada are currently in negotiation with Apple about the launch of Apple Pay in Canada. They expect to release it there in the first half of 2015. Sources are pointing to the launch happening in March, though it is possible that the negotiation process could postpone the launch.

Last month, reports came out about negotiations between Apple and a number of UK bank. 9To5Mac also reported that Apple had posted a series of job listings in December, offering employees the chance to help launch Apple Pay in Europe, India and Asia. No details have ben released about when Apple Pay will launch in Africa or Australia.

Recent rumors also point to a late March release for the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch's portability and compatibility with Apple Pay would make the release a perfect move.

Apple Pay is now compatible with cards issued by over 30 different banks and compatible with 43 different chain stores across America.
