NBA 2K14 Features: NCAA Dunk Champion Anderson Used to Create Game (VIDEO)

Former Detroit University forward Doug Anderson has been used in the creation of “NBA 2K14,” according to DetroitNews.com.

You might know Anderson from the NCAA Dunk Contest this past season. He took home the belt with dunks like the ones seen here:

Anderson, like many young basketball fans and players grew up playing “NBA 2K.” So he was amped when 2K Sports said they wanted to use some of his dunks in the game.

"I'm real excited for this," he said. "[NBA 2K] is as close to the NBA as you can get. The more and more they did, the better they got.

"This is big for me. I wasn't coming from a big school. The dunk contest helped, especially how things are going good for me now," he added.

The 6’5” forward from Kalamazoo, Michigan finished the 2012-2013 season with averages per game of 12.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists.

He is scheduled to work out for the Golden State Warrior this week and has already worked out for four other teams.

Anderson hopes to be selected in the NBA Draft on June 27.

There has not been a whole bunch of news on NBA 2K14 since Miami Heat superstar forward LeBron James was announced as the cover athlete on June 6. During the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2K Sports showed a trailer, but stayed away from releasing any of the game’s features.

EA Sports on the other hand did a whole presentation for “NBA Live 14.” Although, based on the their track record anything less than a full scale presentation would not bode well for the rebuilding franchise.

2K Sports has dominated the NBA gaming market for the past few years. Let’s hope when they do release all of the game’s features, fans will get what they expect—a revolutionary NBA gaming-experience.
