iPhone 5s Release Date Rumors: Parts Company Leaks Photo Hinting at a Faster Processor

The Japanese parts company Moumantai has leaked photos of an iPhone 5s logic board that hints at a new larger processor, according to LatinTimes.com. This means the phone could get a better chip than the current A6 chip in the iPhone 5.

According to the website, even though you are not able to see the iPhone 5s attached to the logic board, you can figure out the board’s speed and efficiency by looking at its circuitry and holes. If this rumor is true, the good news is the iPhone will be getting a faster and stronger processor. According to the photo, the bad news (for fans expecting something new and spectacular) is the iPhone 5s still looks a lot like the iPhone 5.

There were many rumors that Apple would unveil the iPhone 5s at the WorldWide Developers Conference last week. However, the biggest news the company had was the release of the new iOS7 operating system.

According to BGR, citing a report from Citigroup’s Glen Yeung, it appears the iPhone 5s may not release until October, because of production issues. If this information is true, the previous rumors of a Quarter 3 launch are no longer relevant.

Apple fans may be a little disappointed in the company, especially since its top competitor Samsung could release two major smartphones before the company releases one. Samsung recently claimed the top spot of the smartphone market and could release its new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in September during the IFA conference in Berlin.

If so, Apple has got a bit of work to do.
