Leonardo DiCaprio is coming to Netflix with a new documentary.

The documentary, "Virunga" is an anti-poacher film where park rangers try to protect endangered gorillas in the Congo's Virunga National Park.

Although we're used to seeing action-packed thrillers from DiCaprio, this documentary isn't too much of a surprise since he has been involved in numerous animal rights campaigns, including the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, which he founded in 1998, reports The Independent.

The documentary debuted at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival, where it was nominated for Best Documentary Feature, The Independent reports.

"What is happening in the Virunga National Park is an urgent story that every one of us should know about. It's a story that will profoundly affect us all in years to come and speaks about what sort of world we want our children and grandchildren to group up in," director Orlando von Einsiedel tells The Independent.

The film combines investigative journalism with the elements of a nature documentary, something Netflix believes watchers will be drawn to.

"Leo intuitively understands that there is nothing like the power of film to reach people's hearts and minds," Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos tells Indie WIre. "With 'Virunga,' we'll work with Leo to introduce viewers around the world to an incredible, gripping story that will have audiences guessing right up until the final act."

The documentary will be available to Netflix subscribers starting Nov. 7.
