Apple has reportedly received two out of three licenses it needs to start selling the new iPhones in China and is waiting for a key network access license for a full release.

Apple, the renowned smartphone tech company, received an impressive response last year with its iPhone 5S debut in China. Sadly, the Chinese buyers were left out of the new iPhone 6's debut across major markets around the world. The Cupertino tech giant has been fighting hard to get its new smartphones, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, in the hands of its Chinese consumers as early as possible. In the latest report by state-run Xinhua News Agency, the Chinese government has approved two major licenses needed for the iPhone 6 launch.

Even with two licenses in hand, Apple cannot proceed with the iPhone 6 launch in the country as it  needs another key network access license, the report adds. Citing the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), which is responsible for inspecting new smartphones before they are sold on Chinese carrier networks, the publication stated that Apple passed the 3C (China Compulsory Certification) process for four models of iPhone 6. The approved models also include the coveted and best-selling 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus.

China's State Radio Regulation also approved Apple's iPhone 6 devices in the country.

Last year, Apple launched the flagship iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C in China on the same day as its U.S. launch. This year, the iPhone 6 was slated for a release one week after its U.S. debut but regulatory hurdles kept the smartphone from entering the country. Apple is expected to release its two new phones in a total of 115 markets by the year end and will soon overcome the regulatory obligations with the Chinese government.

Apple announced that its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will begin sales in 22 more markets, including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey and United Arab Emirates. This is in addition to the already-released markets in the U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the U.K.
