The Michigan State Spartans play the Oregon Ducks on Saturday. Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast below.
Michigan State handed Jacksonville State 45-7 loss to open the season, thanks in part to quarterback Connor Cook's 285 yards and three touchdowns and two scores from running back Nick Hill. No. 3 Oregon, though, will present a tougher matchup than Jacksonville.
"We're ranked in the top 10 and we're going against a team that's ranked in the top 10," Hill told the Associated Press. "Our confidence is very high. I think that starting fast and big and scoring a lot of points offensively (in the opener) is very comforting to the players and the coaches."
Oregon is also coming off a blowout opening-game win. Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns in Oregon's 62-13 win, and running backs Byron Marshall and Royce Freeman combined for 165 yards and two touchdowns.
Like Michigan State, Oregon is expecting a tougher challenge on Saturday for the seventh-ranked Spartans.
"We are very excited. It poses a good challenge for us. It poses a good challenge for the entire team," Mariota said. "They're coming in as one of the best defenses in the country and any offense would love to face that challenge. It helps you see where you stack up."
Mariota's offensive linemen are also expecting a more potent pass-rushing attack.
"They're going to play hard-nosed football," said Ducks lineman Jake Fisher. "They're going to try to contain, try to force things inside for their linebackers. They're going to play their game and they're very disciplined, so they're going to do exactly that."
