Rapper Nicki Minaj and Hot 97 DJ Peter Rosenberg came face to face for the first time in almost year after the DJ dissed her song "Starships."

Minaj stopped by Hot 97 radio station to do an interview with Rosenberg and took the time to address and squash the beef between the two. Rosenberg started off by kind-of apologizing for a statement he made about Minaj's popular song "Starships" during the station's "Summer Jam" concert in June. He said he meant no disrespect to the "Roman's Revenge" rapper personally but he is sorry about how things turned out between the two, the Huffington Post reports.

"I generally love hip-hop, so I speak out about things I don't like. So when an artist who I consider to be as important a hip-hop artist as there is in the game today made a record that I deem to be something-and I understand we have different opinions about it-that I viewed as not good for hip-hop, it wasn't something that I was trying to go at you personally about," Rosenberg told the rapper during the interview.

Minaj brushed off the feud saying that she did the song because she "wanted to experiment." The pop song was different from the type of music Minaj usually makes.

She added telling the DJ "I just don't know your resume. I never found you funny, I never found you entertaining, I never found you smart. I just found you annoying."

Minaj issued an apology herself, not to Rosenberg, but for pulling out of the show. She said there was no need for her to get her fans involved and felt bad for standing her fans up.

The feud began when Rosenberg was introducing an act at Hot 97's 2012 "Summer Jam" concert.

"I know there are some chicks in here waiting to sing along with 'Starships' later. I'm not talking to y'all now. F--k that bulls--t."

After the comment Lil Wayne took to Twitter saying "Young Money ain't doing Summer Jam" and pulled Nicki Minaj from the concert at the very last minute.

Minaj then went on her Twitter account to address the comment posting that the DJ just "f-ked up history" adding that she "Had a HELL of a f-king lineup. But we won't be disrespected."

She told fans her performance would have featured appearances from Cam'ron, Nas, Lauryn Hill, Beenie Man, Foxy Brown, Lil Wayne, Birdman and Tyga.

Rosenberg refused to back down or apologize tweeting  "Last night I said nothing different than I have ever said... it was not a personal dis... it was starships is s-t. WHICH WE ALL KNOW IS TRUE."

Because the two seem to have settled their disagreement, maybe fans can expect to see Minaj at Summer Jam 2013 on June 2.
