A woman is suing M.A.C for unspecified damages after contracting herpes at a Rihanna concert according to TMZ.
Starkeema Greenidge said she was at the "Pour It Up" singer's concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn when a M.A.C representative smeared a sample of lipstick, RiRi Woo, endorsed by the star, directly on her lips.
Not even 24-hours later, the fan claimed she noticed her lips double in size.
"My whole lip was irritated and hugely swollen," Greenidge told TMZ.
Greenidge said she immediately sought medical attention and was reportedly told by her doctor she'd contracted herpes.
TMZ reports the representative put the lipstick on Greenidge's upper lip and instructed her smear it to the rest of her lips. The lawsuit claims there were no sanitary precautions made. The lawsuit also accuses M.A.C of "applying lipstick directly from the tube instead of using either disposable samples or individual swabs."
Although the incident occurred at a Rihanna concert and the product in question is endorsed by the star, Greenidge is not suing Rihanna. Within the lawsuit, she does not hold the star responsible for her misfortune.
According to the Daily Mail, RiRi Woo sold out within hours of it being released to the public. The red lipstick was a huge hit and often complimented Rihanna when sporting her very own clothing line, Rihanna for River Island.
The Bajan beauty has made recent headlines for a spat with Amanda Bynes via Twitter. Bynes initiated the attack and later claimed the tweet was a fake. Rihanna's only reaction was a sly remark about the cancellation of the show "Intervention". Realizing she may want to make nice with the pop star as she pursues her own rap career, Bynes Tweeted a mock up photo of the two in admiration.
