Farrah Abraham is getting a fair dose of sarcasm for her tweets about her recently released sex tape. The former "Teen Mom" star tweeted the release of her sex tape titled "Backdoor Teen Mom" through Vivid Entertainment on May 6: "Well looks like Vivid released their version of my video... ya i'm not watching, but thank you all for the positive compliments #XXX."
On May 7, she commented on TMZ's report on how her video caused Vivid's site to crash. "(Shocking) I achieve the highest recognition in business endeavors i'm apart of, Vivid is Celebrating high numbers," she tweeted on the social network.
A new tweet from her on the subject on May 22, the one that's drawing the sarcasm in media reports, reads: "It's weird that my guy friends from school watched me having #sex @Vivid & then told me #ItWasHot." In an article that begins with "You don't say" about this particular tweet, Us Magazine got Abraham to react to some of the backlash she's been getting in its 27 May issue. "People are saying stuff like, 'Farrah's a slut, Farrah's a whore.' I'm like, 'I don't usually have sex!' I don't have time to be sexual. There has been about a four-year dry spell," she retorted.
All the attention, perhaps, has helped the 21-year-old Abraham, who is the mother of a three-year-old, to get back in the spotlight. She confirmed that she has signed up with Spinboi Films for a new docu-reality soap; speculation continues on which network will pick up the show.
Some media watchers are drawing parallels between Abraham and Kim Kardashian, who also embarked on a career in the public eye post the release of her sex tape in 2007. A write-up on Abraham's website describes her plans: "Currently, Farrah along with 3-year-old daughter Sophia has returned to her roots of modeling and acting and pursuing her restaurant aspirations. Completing her dual degree in culinary management and arts has brought out a business side of Farrah, Farrah has helped launch her families recipe Italian Hot Pepper sauce MOM&ME in Hy-vee grocery stores. Farrah plans to continue her education through out opening her first restaurant, her literary successes and other career endeavors."
