"Guardians of the Galaxy" star Vin Diesel admitted to fans working on the Marvel project helped him cope with the death of "Fast & Furious" costar Paul Walker.

According to Digital Spy, Diesel revealed during a Facebook Q&A how deeply he felt the loss of Walker.

"It was very personal - it was the month after the accident happened with my brother Paul Walker and it was the first time I had worked since," Diesel wrote.

"Although it was challenging, just to get back to work was therapeutic - especially as Groot. There was an innocence about the character that was just refreshing - and it may have been more challenging under other circumstances, but at that time, it was very therapeutic."

Walker died in a car accident on Nov. 30, 2013, along with his friend and business associate Roger Rodas.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" also stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Batista and Bradley Cooper. You can check out Marvel's official synopsis for the film as well as the trailer below:
