Zach Braff is single man again.
People reported that the former "Scrubs" actor and his girlfriend Taylor Bagley have ended their relationship after five years of dating. A representative for the actor said the former couple called it quits about six weeks ago.
"Zach and Taylor broke up over a month ago," the actor's rep said. "They are continuing their friendship but are no longer a couple."
The 39-year-old actor is currently starring as a struggling playwright in the Broadway edition of Woody Allen's "Bullets Over Broadway," which earned six Tony Awards nominations on Tuesday.
Sources told Page six of the New York Post that the couple split before the opening of Braff's latest Broadway engagement. The source added that that "Taylor wanted to get married," but Braff was not ready to take that step. Their separation reportedly has nothing to do with the show's opening.
"The idea of marriage didn't play a factor into their split at all," the source said. "Zach has been a musical theater geek his whole life. This has been everything he's ever wanted."
The statement continued: "Zach has been attached to the [show] and involved with its development for over two years. He chose to do it because it has been a lifelong dream of his to be a part of a Broadway musical."
Braff's last photo with Bagley was posted over one month ago on her Instagram account with the caption, "I get this face quite a lot..... Here's to 5 years my love." Before calling it quits the couple was spotted together at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
Bagley makes an appearance in Braff's debut Kickstarter film "Wish I Was Here," which also stars Donald Faison, Kate Hudson, Josh Gad, Jim Parsons and Ashley Greene, Mandy Patinkin and the late James Avery.
"Wish I Was Here" opens in theaters on July 18.
