Spotify is pushing an update for its Android version of the app with a new dark theme and features that make browsing and storing music much easier.

Spotify, the popular music streaming service, is looking to impress its Android users by giving a major UI redesign and new features. The update brings the Spotify Android app in line with its desktop and iOS apps that were updated earlier this month. The mobile music streaming app is offering a much cleaner and a polished user interface with a dark theme, new typography and rounded iconography, the company said in an official blog, Tuesday.

 Spotify is also simplifying the process of organizing music tracks within the app. The latest update includes a new tab in the menu called Your Music, which puts all the songs, albums and artists added by the user in one place, replacing the old Playlist method of saving music.

"We're not only improving our interface though. We know how much you love playlists, but that you've been looking for more ways to organize your favorite songs, albums and playlists," Diego Planas Rego, EU Social Media Editor for Spotify, wrote in the company's blog, Tuesday. "So over the past weeks we've rolled out Your Music: a feature that will help you save, organize and browse your favorite tunes."

Users must be logged in to Spotify to avail the Your Music feature on the app.

Spotify is improving the browse feature for Android users, so finding the right track that suits best a the listener's mood is easier than ever.

The update will be pushed to all Android users of the app over the next few weeks. Android users can also download the app fromGoogle Play Store for free and avail ad-free service by upgrading to the premium version for $9.99 per month.

The premium version allows one to play a song anytime and on devices of choice, downloading music for offline listening and better sound quality. If you are a student, Spotify offers a 50 percent discount on its premium pricing. Students can enjoy all premium services for $4.99 per month by registering on the official website.
