Leno Gas Station Prank: California Couple Land on “Tonight Show” After Hilarious Karaoke Performance (VIDEO)

A California couple's gas station karaoke video has gone viral and landed them an appearance on the "Tonight Show" with Jay Leno. Will Sims is seen singing at the gas pump while he fills his car up while his wife Monifa waits in the car. Out of nowhere the TV above the pump starts talking to him. A fake-anchor tells Will that he is on "Pumpcast News" and he will get free gas if he performs a song.

Will looks startled at first but agrees to sing Bon Jovi's "Livin on a Prayer."

The fake anchor asks if he needs the lyrics and Will responds, "No, I know them baby" and begins to belt out the lyrics. His wife is in the car hysterically laughing while other customers watch. The fake anchor asks if Will wants to do a duet with his wife but he declines. After Will finishes the song the anchor informs Will that he is "livin on a free tank of gas" which prompts Will to start singing again.

"Bout to pump it up," Will belts. "Livin for the gas."

The surprising and amusing thing about Will's singing is that he can really hold a tune and so can his wife. Monifa eventually gets out the car and sings "Sweet Dreams" by the Eurythmics while her husband sings back up and dances.

Jay Leno said on his show that he was so impressed with the couple he invited them on the "Tonight Show" to sing with his band.

Leno says when they usually do "Pumpcast News" they have about four or five couples "but this couple was so entertaining and it was so nice to see a happy couple" that he had to bring them on his show.
