Phillip Lim will be the next high-style collaborator to produce fashion for the masses.
The designer will launch a fall fashion line for Target stores, the retail chain Tweeted Thursday.

Lim joins a line of high-style Target collaborators including Kate Young, Jason Wu and Missoni, whose patriarch died Thursday. The Missoni line broke records in the retail world when the brand was made more financially accessible to the fashion-loving public. High-end retailer Neiman Marcus also entered into a deal to feature their products at the chain during the holiday season.
Lim had been approached by Target before, but just recently decided he was ready for the masses, he told The Wall Street Journal. Lim's previously released lines have been categorized as youthfully elegant and effortlessly chic.
He told The Wall Street Journal that he designed this collection in mind of the person on-the-go. Lim's runway shows have hosted such celebrities as Kanye West.
Retail lines following Target's lead on providing cost effective styles options by prominent designers include Versace for H&M, Narciso Rodriguez for Kohl's, Georgina Chapman of Marchesa for JCPenney.
