Samsung has launched a new and free streaming radio app, called "Milk Music," that offers Galaxy users an easy and entertaining way to enjoy and discover music.
"Milk [Music] introduces a fresh approach to music that reflects our innovation leadership and our focus on creating best-in-class consumer experiences," said Gregory Lee, CEO and president of Samsung Telecommunications America and Samsung Electronics North America Headquarters, in a press release. "We're offering consumers amazing, rich music experiences built around what matters most to them and their lifestyle."
Milk Music is designed with an elegant and comprehensible interface.
The ad-free application features a unique, round dial design that provides a more intuitive and natural way in listening music. The dial is designed to display genres preferred by the user, such as blues, pop, jazz, classical music, country music, alternative, and R&B. Aside from the genres, it also displays the features "Spotlight," which offers songs chosen by music tastemakers and influencers; and "My Stations," which allows users to create their own personal stations based on the music.
In addition to a number of personalization options is the "Fine-Tune Station" feature that lets users adjust the genre-based stations based on popularity, novelty, and their favorites.
Once set, without the need to log-in, users can instantly start choosing songs from Milk's over 13 million songs and more than 200 genre-based stations that make listening to their favorite music more fun and enriching experience.
The Slacker-powered Milk Music is now available for download on Google Play. However, only Samsung's Galaxy smartphones, including Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S III, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 mini, and Galaxy Mega, can enjoy the application. Samsung Galaxy S5, which is slated to be released in April, is also compatible with Milk.
