A royal expert has claimed that Meghan Markle is pushing for an apology from the royal family before she agrees to accompany Prince Harry to the United Kingdom, casting doubt on whether the Duchess will join her husband in London in May.

The Duchess of Sussex has long had a tense relationship with the senior members of Prince Harry's family. Upon her resignation from her formal position, she made several offensive claims against them.

According to royal experts, the 42-year-old Duchess of Sussex will not accept the royal family's offer to go with Prince Harry to England next month unless she receives a sincere apology from the company.

In an interview, commentator Charlotte Griffiths said she thinks she is pushing for an apology.

"She's been pushing for that for quite a long time, although there have been reports from the Sussex camp that she has sort of given up on an apology."

The royalist said that the 39-year-old Duke of Sussex is attempting to make amends with his family despite her reservations, especially since King Charles III is suffering from cancer.

Griffiths claimed she is not blocking him from seeing his family. However, she noted that they knew he had come to visit his father when he was ill, and they knew he would return in May.

Harry will probably make an effort to appease everyone despite the long-standing rift that surfaced after the Sussexes' 2020 departure due to the patriarch's illness as well as Prince William's wife Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis.

Royal expert Tom Quinn told a news outlet that although Harry would prefer a reunion, he would not stop supporting his wife until she thought the royal family had shown her enough consideration and made a sincere effort to atone for their previous disagreements.
