Detroit Man Opens Fire Over Tax Refund, Injures Four (VIDEO)

Four employees at a tax preparation office on Detroit's east side have been wounded in a shooting after a dispute over a refund check, according to the Associated Press.

Police say the alleged gunman has been arrested and a woman involved in the dispute has turned herself into police as a suspect, the AP reported.

The shooting was reported shortly after 3:30 p.m. Friday at Tax City Tax Service and police said one of the officers present on the scene was originally flagged down by a civilian witnessing the violence, according to USA Today.

Deputy Police Chief Rodney Johnson said the woman being sought became upset when her tax refund wasn't ready yet, the AP reported. A weapon was recovered at the scene, police said.

Johnson says the woman was scuffling with a security guard when the man with her pulled a gun and started shooting inside the tax office, according to the AP.

The security guard, as well as three other employees, were being treated for gun wounds, the AP reported. The other three employees who were wounded were all female.

The 19-year-old Detroit man allegedly shot at the four people because the tax refund check he was set to receive was not ready or available, police said, according to the AP. The amount of the tax refund were not disclosed.
