The Daily Star explained that microcheating is an unfaithful act that doesn't involve kissing or having sexual intercourse with other individuals.

But, the meaning of microcheating may still vary depending on cultural norms.
"Perception of these behaviors varies widely and is influenced by individual and cultural norms," explained Lisa Welsh, a sex educator.
She added that an example of this is how other people see casual flirting. In certain cultures, this act is perceived as harmless banter.
But, for some individuals, casual flirting is a serious act of cheating.
