Launch House was founded in 2020, right at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. During a period of extreme isolation when the entire world was facing uncertainty, the three founders - Brett Goldstein, Michael Houck, and Jacob Peters - banded together to form something far more important as a collective than any of them could form on their own. They wanted to facilitate an environment where great minds could meet and accomplish incredible things.

With that simple idea, Launch House was born.

But as vaccines began to roll out across the world and an end to the pandemic (or at least the beginning of a new normal) finally appeared to be in sight, those three founders wanted to continue with that spirit. They wanted to take the lessons of the past and use them to forge a brighter future - not just for themselves, but for everyone. They wanted to help build a world where people change the way they think about education and connection.

That in and of itself is the rock-solid foundation upon which Launch House has been built, and it's an ideal they'll never stop trying to live up to.

How Launch House Is Paving the Way

After Launch House's initial residency program proved to be an overwhelming success, the founders set their sights on something bigger.

They realized that there was legitimate value in expanding and growing the community of which they were a part. Because of that, they wanted to build a bridge between what was historically seen as two different worlds: those entrepreneurs and startup founders who were working hard in real life and those who'd been working primarily online.

The theory was that by doing so, they could build an opportunity for the next generation of leaders to thrive, where people had access to the skills and networks they needed that would not just put the education they received in college to good use but expand upon it exponentially.

Launch House may have begun as something modeled after elite universities and other educational institutions, but it quickly grew into something so much more. It's an incubator for the next generation of entrepreneurs - the ones whose innovation will change our world as we know it.

All of the Launch House founders operate with a simple mantra in mind. Education isn't something that you "do once and forget about." You don't stop learning the moment that you graduate from college; far from it. Instead of being the end of one story, it should be seen as the beginning of something far greater. If one thinks they've learned enough to become the best version of themselves, that's the moment they've lost a game they never truly understood in the first place. Launch House operates on that idea on a daily basis and it's something it tries to instill within each and every person who walks through its doors.

All of this has paid incredible dividends in a relatively short amount of time. In 2022, for example, Launch House was able to close on a $12 million Series A funding round. This was also the year when its venture arm - the appropriately named House Capital - was finally ready for prime time. House Capital has the power of a multimillion-dollar fund behind it.

Despite the success that Launch House has enjoyed up to this point, the founders are quick to point out that it's still a work in progress. Indeed, this is keeping in line with the founders' dedication to the concept of continuing education at the heart of it all. House Capital will continue to churn out success stories, yes. But it will also continue to grow and evolve itself. But one thing will remain the same: It will always be consistently dedicated to finding the best founders, builders, and creators in the world and bringing them together, regardless of their backgrounds. And all of it's in the name of building a better future for us all.
