Former United States President Donald Trump was allegedly "furious" about the 2022 U.S. midterm elections results and spoke out about the reports.

Former United States President Donald Trump was allegedly furious about the 2022 midterm election results, but the Republican businessman addressed the allegations, saying the reports were false.

Trump said that it was actually the opposite, noting that the people he endorsed did pretty well in the midterm elections. The former president added that he was batting 98.6% in the primaries and 216 to 19 in the general election, calling the situation "amazing."

The Republican businessman continued by praising several of the candidates that he endorsed, including Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, both of whom were lawmakers that the former president rallied for. The two senators were both strongly favored to win even before Trump appeared alongside them.

Furthermore, Trump had favorable words for celebrity Dr. Mehmet Oz who lost a senatorial race in Pennsylvania against Lt. Gov. John Fetterman. The former president said that Oz worked very hard but noted that there were forces against him. He called the celebrity politician a "great guy," as per CNN.

The former president was also asked if the lackluster results would change his decision for an announcement on Tuesday of a third presidential run. Trump indicated that he would still move forward with his plan.

On the other hand, President Joe Biden indicated his willingness on Wednesday to cooperate with Republican lawmakers if the GOP takes a majority in the House. However, the Democrat made it clear that there were still some issues that he would not compromise on.

According to Reuters, Republicans moved closer to Wednesday to secure a House majority, only a day after Democrats outperformed expectations and history in the midterm elections. In Arizona and Nevada, the Senate contests where Democratic incumbents were seeking to hold off Republican challengers, thousands of ballots have yet to be counted.

Tight Races Across the US

If the two parties split those races, the Senate's fate would come down to a Georgia runoff election for the second time in two years. It comes after Edison Research projected that neither Raphael Warnock nor Herschel Walker would be able to reach the needed 50% that was necessary to avoid a December 6 one-on-one rematch.

GOP lawmakers picked up at least 10 seats in the US House of Representatives, based on Edison Research's projections. That would be three more than they needed to wrest control of the chamber from Democratic lawmakers. But with 42 races that have yet to be called, the left still has a slim chance of holding the majority.

But even if Republicans only get a slim House majority, they would still be able to restrict Biden in his two remaining years in office. The GOP could then block legislation and launch potentially politically damaging investigations.

Despite the massive flow of Republican wins in the initial stages of the midterm elections, Democrats were able to recover and make a tight race. Biden also declared that American voters sent a "clear and unmistakable message," which was to preserve democracy and abortion rights, the New York Times reported.
