Bindi Irwin is all grown up. The 15-year-old daughter of the late Steve Irwin, walked the red carpet at the AACTA Awards in Sydney on Wednesday, Jan. 29. Irwin smiled and posed for pictures in a black floral dress and motorcycle boots. Her mother, Terri, also attended the event.

Her father, better known as "The Crocodile Hunter," died in 2006 at the age of 44 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray. Steve, an Australian wildlife expert, was known for his educational TV shows. He was also an animal conservationist, something his daughter also strives to promote.

Back in November, Irwin spoke to E! News about following in her father's footsteps and what valuable life lessons he taught her.

"With dad, he was the ultimate wildlife warrior and we admired him more than anything," she told E! News. "Dad honestly was incredible. We never got nervous about him being with animals, but I do remember he gave me a piece of advice that has stuck with me forever. He said, 'You have to treat animals the way you wish to be treated.' Which is so true. And I think that applies to all animals."

"He was the greatest dad on the planet," she continued. "He was our inspiration, who we looked up to the most and, for us, we wanna carry on his legacy. We wanna make sure that his message of wildlife and conservation continues, because he was the world's greatest conservationist and so we never want that message to die."

Irwin and her brother Robert grew up around animals. She told E! that even though her childhood was very different than most kids, she loved every minute of it.

"I have spent my entire life living in a zoo, which is pretty crazy. Not many kids get to say that," she said. "It took until I was about three years old to realize that we didn't just come to the zoo every day, but that we actually lived here.... We literally live right in the middle of the zoo and it means that every day is a new experience and so much fun."
