Australian police freed a naked man from the inside of a washing machine after he got stuck there over the weekend.
The man reportedly trapped himself inside the washing machine while playing hide-and-seek, the BBC reported. He told officials that he concealed himself within the confines of the appliance to surprise his partner.
But his lighthearted intentions soon took a nasty turn - he became stuck in the washing machine until rescue teams could wedge him out.
Firefighters, paramedics and a search-and-rescue squad were sent to his home in Mooroopna town, located north of Melbourne, in the state of Victoria, on Saturday, BBC reported.
Using olive oil, officials managed to squeegee the afflicted man out of the washing machine.
The man's identity has not yet been released by authorities, but some reports did say he was 20 years old.
The Agence-France Presse news agency reported Sergeant Michelle De Araugo as saying that the whole incident "was just a game gone wrong."
"It would be fair to say the gentleman was very embarrassed," she admitted with a short chuckle.
