Backstreet Boys Are Back! Band Gets Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

What could be a better way to celebrate 20 years of togetherness for the Backstreet Boys than having a five-pointed terrazzo and brass star embedded in the Hollywood Walk of Fame?

Twenty years ago, A. J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell, in their first recording studio in Orlando, Florida, the Backstreet Boys have defined the true meaning of success.

Winning thousands of hearts across the world through their successful music, the boy-band has sold more than 130 million records worldwide, which makes them the best-selling boy-band of all time. Adding to the list of their achievements, the band was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The star is embedded just between the Boyz II Men and The Osmonds. Each member of the Backstreet Boys expressed his emotions during the unveiling of the star Monday.

"Backstreet is Back ... and we aren't going anywhere," Nick Carter told fans. The fans will be seeing a lot of the band as they will be on road during their worldwide tour starting in China in May.

The band will also be releasing their forthcoming album later this year and a documentary film set to release in 2014. Several songs from their new album were played during the event along with a teaser of their upcoming movie.

"I never ever imagined in a million years that we would be a part of this," Carter said, holding back tears.

"What an honor it is. What a beautiful day," Kevin Richardson said. "What another beautiful way to celebrate twenty years together."

"I love you guys. And aside from my wedding day and the birth of my daughter, this is hands-down the best day of my life," A.J. McLean said.

"I will one day be able to bring my family here," Howie Dorough said. "My kids will be able to bring their kids here and still be able to see the legacy that the Backstreet Boys have carried on for many years."

Brian Littrell, added a little humor, "I worked my entire life to never be walked on, but I'm OK with this one."
