Treyarch announced that it will be launching Open Beta for PC Modding and Mapping Tools for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

Treyarch is the developer for the hit video game. The Call of Duty game franchise already has 14 very popular versions including Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

Actually, the developer already launched a Closed Alpha Program in April for PC Modding and Mapping Tools for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. The Closed Alpha Program was participated only by selected member of the PC Modding Community.

Now, after months of testing, improvements, updates and modifications, the PC Modding and Mapping Tools for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is moving on to the next stage.

The Open Beta for PC Modding and Mapping Tools for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will provide opportunity for broader audience. This also means that more people will finally have access to help in focusing on bugs and areas of improvements.

The Open Beta Phase will permit the players running mods to link to the custom game lobbies of others through Unranked Server Browser.

All these efforts will aid in moving closer to a complete suite of PC features.

Of course, Treyarch appreciates the help it got from the PC Modding Community and for the help it will be further receiving in its Open Beta Phase.

"While these tools are most certainly for the community, they wouldn't be possible without the community itself, which is why we're grateful for your patience and participation."

However, the Unranked Dedicated Server Files are currently still under development. For the meantime, players can explore maps and mods developed during the Closed Alpha Program in the Steam Workshop.

Treyarch also did not disclose the official release date of the PC Modding and Mapping Tools for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
