EA and DICE have been having noticeable difficulty trying to get the latest installment in its popular first-person shooter franchise, "Battlefield 4," up to snuff amid several glitches and errors that players are experiencing in the game's Multiplayer. Now the developers have posted an alert for players on the game's technical support forums warning them that intermittent connectivity issues are still affecting some players across the game's many platforms.
"We are continue to monitor some intermittent connectivity issues affecting some players across various platforms. Thank you for your patience. We will update this with further information as available," the notification reads.
According to IGN, since the game's release in October, "Battlefield 4" has been plagued with connectivity issues, crashes, loss of data and, most recently, there are reports that the China Rising DLC (which was banned in China) is failing to carry over from PlayStation 3 consoles to PlayStation 4.
The bugs are so widespread and so debilitating to the gaming experience that a law firm has even filed a complaint against EA for its handling of the game's release. In addition, the developers have put a hold on all future projects while it looks to find a fix for "Battlefield 4's" various issues.
The message appeared on the "Battlefield 4 Top Issues Tracker," which was designed to keep players up-to-date on the status of the game's 22 largest problems so that players can feel involved in the process of fixing things and understand how much more time they'll have to wait before they're able to get their money's worth on the new game. Right now the site lists DICE as "investigating" a bug that is accounting for a large number of crashes on the Xbox 360.
Other gamers on the technical help forums are reporting that they've lost all of their game progress and cannot update their game. Instead, they're receiving an error that reads: "Battlefield 4 has stopped working," after installing the latest update.
