Taylor Swift has been named 2013's "most charitable star" in the Celebs Gone Good list compiled by DoSomething.org for donating 100,000 dollars to the Nashville Symphony on her 24th birthday.
Celebrities and charities often go hand and hand. However, some stars donate more than others. In this year's Celebs Gone Good list compiled by DoSomething.org, country singer Taylor Swift was voted 2013's "most charitable star" for her generous donation of 100,000 dollars to the Nashville Symphony on her 24th birthday.
One Direction and Beyonce Knowles were placed second and third respectively. The British pop band kicked off the year by volunteering in Ghana with the U.K. charity Comic Relief, while Harry Styles and Liam Payne, also raised more than 800,000 dollars through the fundraising platform Prizeo for Trekstock.
Beyonce performed at London's charity concert for women's rights, "Chime For Change", earlier this year. She also made a terminally ill girl's dream come true when they sang "Survivor" together at a recent Las Vegas show.
"It's pretty amazing that the top two spots on the list are held by celebrities under age 25. For the first time, 50% of the list is age 30 or younger. This rising generation is using their money and star power for good," said Naomi Hirabayashi, chief marketing officer of DoSomething.org.
Late Paul Walker with his Reach Out Worldwide charity and duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were placed fourth and fifth on the list respectively.
The Top 20 on the list were:
1. Taylor Swift

3. Beyonce Knowles
4. Paul Walker
