GTA 5 is inarguably one of the hottest games talked about at the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016 in Los Angeles. The game's publisher, Rockstar Games, announced a slew of updates in the game's big reveal at the said event. As per Rockstar's latest announcement, Grand Theft Auto 5 will receive three new maps, additional playable characters, and a raft of other exciting features.

According to a Breathe Cast report, the three new maps will be featured in the multiplayer content of GTA Online. The maps are reportedly included in the GTA 5's recent "Further Adventures in Finance and Felony" DLC release.

A report by iTech Post mentioned that the new maps are named Trading Places IV, V, and VI that can already be accessed and bookmarked in GTA Online. Also, the said maps will be set in three different locations, namely, the Harmony Place Construction Site, the Banning Docks Warehouse, and the Lost Club House in Grapeseed.

Meanwhile, Rockstar Games has also started another weekly sale period for some new items. Game Spot noted that in the sale, players can enjoy 50% off the price for bulletproof tires, 25% off car armor, 25% off Annihilator helicopters, and 25% off a number of selected ammo, weapons, and parachutes. Included in the Ammu-Nation discount lineup are as follows: rifles (carbine, assault, and compact), machine pistol, sub-machine guns, heavy shotgun, combat PDW, weapon tints and etched finishes, body armor, parachute bags (including canopies).

To take advantage of the weekly discounts including access to discounted items like Smoking Jacket and red pajamas, players simply have to log in and purchase the items until June 20.

In another GTA-related update, N4BB suggest that with former Rockstar big boss Leslie Benzies' official departure from Rockstar North, industry analyst are wondering if his successor could replicate the enormous success of the Grand Theft Auto franchise over the years under his watch. There are rumors that with his exit, the much anticipated sixth iteration to the GTA series may not follow the same creative directions of its hugely successful predecessors.
