Toronto Mayor Rob Ford returned to the dance floor on Wednesday - but this time, it was in the city council building.
Ford, who was captured on video this week dancing at a church service, was taped on Wednesday dancing to a performance by a jazz band playing holiday songs during a city council meeting.
A handful of local officials and councilors joined Mayor Ford as he whirled and twirled to Bob Marley's "One Love." He waved his arms, tapped his feet and wiggled his midsection.
A few minutes prior to the performance, however, the Toronto Sun reported that Ford got into a scuffle with Councilor Pam McConnell - the same official who Ford barreled over during a meeting in November. Ford reportedly exchanged harsh words with McConnell, who was talking to one of his members of staff.
"[Ford] said to me, 'Back off,' and I said, 'You back off' and he said to me, 'And I won't have you bullying my staff,'" she told the Sun, adding that Ford's dancing might have been okay last year, but now casts him in an unfortunate light, amid his crack-smoking, alcoholic-alleging, sexual commentary scandals.
"Right now, under the kind of microscope that we're under, it just seems to me that we're not taking it very seriously. The whole world is looking at us," she said. "Now being able to show the Toronto city council boogying around instead of doing business just feeds into that late-night show comedy act."
Watch Rob Ford and other Canadian politicians cut a rug below. Ford comes in at about the 3:00 mark.
