Lady Gaga won a Golden Globe for her role as The Countess on "American Horror Story: Hotel," and the singer-turned-actress finally confirmed that she would return for Season 6 of the FX anthology series. She confirmed the news during an interview on Friday with Z100, but remained tight-lipped about details regarding the show.

While she did reveal she would return to Ryan Murphy's horror show, she simply answered "yes" when the interviewers asked if she was coming back to the series. When pressed for details about the highly secretive sixth season, she did not budge.

"I can't promise you how or when or anything like that," she said.

Gaga's role on the previous installment of "American Horror Story" was the first time the star, who was known primarily as a singer, stepped in front of the camera for a starring role. She was recruited by Murphy to fill in the leading lady void left by longtime star Jessica Lange, who did not return for Season 5 after starring in the previous four seasons.

In late 2015, Murphy tweeted that he had already asked Gaga to return for the next season of "AHS," but nothing was confirmed until now. In addition to the singer returning for the still untitled Season 6, Angela Bassett confirmed that she was also heading back to the FX show, which will be her fourth season on the series after joining the cast during "American Horror Story: Coven." The actress earlier revealed that Murphy already gave her a couple of hints about Season 6.

"He did tell me at the Golden Globes that I would imbibe a little bit too much, and yet I was very intuitive also and maybe Sarah [Paulson] was somehow the boss of me," Bassett revealed.

While there are little details about the theme for the next season, FX General Manager John Landgraf revealed at the network's Television Critics Association winter press tour that there would be two time periods.

The season will be set in the present day, and will include flashbacks. "It's set in the present although with echoes of the past," Landgraf said. "It's set in two time periods...but principally in the present."

Season 6 of "American Horror Story" is expected to premiere in the Fall of 2016 on FX.
