To celebrate "The Late Late Show's" post Super Bowl episode, Sir Elton John joined host James Corden for the show's popular segment "Carpool Karaoke." During the special episode, Corden and John drove around a dreary looking Los Angeles and sang some of the singer's classic hits like "Tiny Dancer" and "The Circle of Life" from "The Lion King."

The first song the two listened to during their drive was one of John's most famous songs, "Your Song" and was followed by "I'm Still Standing." The conversation then turned to John's flamboyant way of dressing.

"I was never a lead vocalist like Bowie or like Jagger," John told Corden. "I was stuck at a piano and I wasn't a sex symbol, so I had fun with my outfits and I just went for it."

After an outfit change that involved feathered boas, Corden learned that John did not own a cellphone. The host was in disbelief that the singer did not own a phone and wondered how he got along with life.

"There's usually a security person with a phone," John said.

"Hang on, so right now I could legitimately kidnap you and you wouldn't be able to call anyone?" Corden asked.

"Yes you could," John replied.

When "The Circle of Life" from the Disney film "The Lion King" was played, Corden put on a lion's nose and a fake mane of hair. Corden passed the outfit on to John midway through the song before they reached their final destination.

"'Oh, my God,'" Corden said at the end of the car ride. "If I could tell my 12-year-old self I would be doing this with my life, it's head would explode. Thank you so much for helping me get to work. I really appreciate it."
