Celine Dion lost the love of her life on Jan. 14, and while rumors were going around that she was going to pay tribute to her late husband Rene Angelil with a touching performance at his funeral, it has been confirmed that these rumors are not true.

"She wants to honor her husband in song and is looking to perform at his funeral," a source originally told Hollywood Life, according to the Irish Examiner. The source explained that she was thinking of performing her famous song "Because You Loved Me."

Once word of this got out, Dion's rep made sure to counter that this was not true at all and told Hollywood Life that Dion would be grieving with her family without a performance. Dion instead wants to take the time to quietly reflect with her children as this is an extremely hard time for her.

Angelil lost his long battle with throat cancer at age 73 last week in their Las Vegas home, as HNGN previously reported. He and Dion had been married for 21 years, and he had been her manager for more than 30 years. They had three children together. Just two days after Angelil passed away, Dion lost her older brother Daniel after his long battle with throat, tongue and brain cancer.

Angelil had requested that his funeral be held in the same place he and Dion got married in 1994. "According to his final wishes, his funeral will be held at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, where 21 years ago, he chose to marry the one who will remain as the great love of his life, the artist for which he had the most respect, the woman who gave him light and happiness until his very last breath," a post on Dion's Facebook page reads.

A public ceremony for his fans will be held on Jan. 21. His funeral will then take place the following day. Another public ceremony called "Celebration of Life" will take place at the Caesars Palace Colosseum in Las Vegas on Feb. 3.
