iPad Air Explodes in Australian Mobile Store

An iPad Air display on a mobile store in Australia has reportedly exploded. Members of the fire brigade rushed in to extinguish the smoke and flames.

While past reports show that several people have been victimized and injured by incidents of iPhones exploding, this is the first time that an iPad has been involved. The incident happened in a Vodafone mobile store in Canberra.

A Vodafone representative described the explosive incident to The Daily Telegraph by saying that a burst of flames had come out from the charging port of the brand new display model of the iPad Air. As the store becomes covered with smoke, firemen came rushing in to put out the fire.

Though no store employees or customers suffered any injuries during the accident, the iPad Air, a new model by Apple which had been globally released on November 1, was totally destroyed. Its frame appearance gives it an impression that it had been subjected to extreme heat.

The accident has prompted an Apple representative to drop by in the store to retrieve the device and conduct tests on it to establish the cause of its explosion. The shop had to be eventually evacuated after the incident.

Apple describes the relatively slim new model to revolutionize the mobile computing experience of its consumers. As of the moment, Apple hasn't given any comments on the incident.

The thin new iPad Air model from Apple is now billed as something that has been created to deliver a totally new mobile computing experience. With its thinner cache, lighter weight, and a powerfully fast processor as compared to its older sibling, it has earned favorable reviews by writers from the niche of technology.

The iPads and iPhones are usually manufactured in the U.S, Japan, China, and Korea.
